Lexington SC cruised past El Paso Locomotive FC 3–1 at home on Saturday, with goals from Xavier Zengue, Phillip Goodrum, and Braudílio Rodrigues sealing a comfortable USL Championship victory.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute when Zengue finished off a Malcolm Fry delivery to make it 1–0. El Paso responded quickly. Just five minutes later, Amando Moreno pulled the visitors level, converting from a Roberto Avila assist to square things up at 1–1 heading toward the break.

Whatever adjustments Lexington made at halftime paid off handsomely. Goodrum restored the lead in the 62nd minute, getting on the end of a Blaine Ferri pass to put the hosts back in front. Then, barely three minutes later, Rodrigues added a third to effectively put the match to bed. The quick-fire double — two goals in the span of three minutes — broke any remaining El Paso resistance.

The Locomotive had little left to offer in response. Already carrying a pair of yellow cards from the first half through Arturo Ortíz and Junior Gonzalez, El Paso struggled to press forward with any real urgency in the closing stages. Lexington managed the final 25 minutes without alarm, seeing out a deserved win.

The result gives Lexington SC a significant three points at home and continues a strong push as the USL Championship regular season enters its final stretch, with playoff positioning firmly in focus for both clubs.
