Fort Wayne FC cruised to a convincing 3–0 victory over Spokane Velocity FC in USL League One action on Independence Day, with goals from Taig Healy, Jeremy Garay, and Lilian Ricol sealing a dominant performance.

Fort Wayne set the tone early. Healy opened the scoring in the 14th minute, giving the home side a lead they would never relinquish. The goal seemed to fire up the hosts, though the intensity cut both ways — Jayden Smith picked up a yellow card just two minutes later, and Kabiru Gafar was also cautioned in the 38th minute as challenges flew in.

Gafar made sure his contribution wasn't limited to a booking. Just before halftime, he set up Garay to double Fort Wayne's advantage in the 44th minute, sending the home side into the break with a comfortable cushion.

Any hopes Spokane harbored of a second-half comeback were extinguished almost immediately. Ricol struck three minutes after the restart to make it 3–0, effectively ending the contest as a competitive affair. From there, Fort Wayne managed the game comfortably, with Emerson Nieto collecting a late yellow card deep in stoppage time as the match wound down.

Spokane rarely threatened throughout the 90 minutes and offered little in response to Fort Wayne's sharp finishing. The visitors struggled to gain any foothold, particularly after conceding twice in the final minutes of the first half and the opening moments of the second.

The result strengthens Fort Wayne's position in the USL League One standings and caps a statement performance on the Fourth of July.
