Charleston Battery dismantled Miami FC 5–0 at home on Sunday, with goals from Maalique Foster (19'), Miguel Berry (45+3', 47'), Graham Smith (62'), and Alec Hughes (86') sealing a comprehensive USL Championship victory.

Foster opened the scoring midway through the first half, finishing off a pass from Berry to give Charleston an early lead. Miami's Denilson Milanés picked up a yellow card on 35 minutes as frustrations began to mount, and things got worse for the visitors before the break. Berry doubled the advantage deep into first-half stoppage time, converting from a Jeremy Kelly delivery.

Charleston came out with the same intensity after the interval. Berry needed just two minutes of the second half to complete his brace, this time nodding home — or otherwise finishing — from a Nathan Messer ball to make it 3–0. Any faint hopes of a Miami comeback were effectively dead.

Smith added a fourth on 62 minutes, finding the net without an assist listed, before picking up a booking later in the half. Hughes rounded off the rout in the 86th minute, tucking away a chance created by Emilio Ycaza. Miami's Arney Rocha was cautioned late on as the game wound down to its inevitable conclusion.

Berry's two-goal, one-assist performance was the standout individual display, the forward involved in three of Charleston's five goals. Miami, meanwhile, offered little resistance across 90 minutes and will need to regroup quickly.

The emphatic win reinforces Charleston Battery's credentials as serious contenders in the USL Championship this season, while Miami FC face mounting questions about their ability to compete at this level.
