Statesville FC and Bristol Rhythm AFC played out a 1–1 draw in NPSL action on Wednesday, with D. Carroll opening the scoring for the visitors in the 23rd minute before E. Edwards leveled for the hosts ten minutes later.

Bristol Rhythm struck first. Carroll found the net midway through the first half, finishing from an L. Poder delivery to put the away side ahead. Statesville had to respond, and the equalizer came in the 33rd minute when Edwards converted off a J. Gracia pass to make it 1–1.

The remainder of the first half grew increasingly testy. H. Martinez picked up a yellow card for Statesville right before the halftime whistle, capping a physical closing stretch to the opening 45 minutes.

Neither side managed to find a winner after the break. The second half failed to produce the same clear-cut opportunities that defined the first-half scoring burst, and the game ended level.

The point apiece keeps both Statesville FC and Bristol Rhythm AFC in the mix as the NPSL season moves deeper into the summer stretch.
