Tampa Bay Sun FC and Lexington SC played out a 1–1 draw in the USL Super League on Saturday, with both goals coming inside the opening 15 minutes. Catherine Barry opened the scoring for Lexington in the 12th minute before Sabrina McNeill leveled for Tampa Bay just two minutes later, finishing off a Mackenzie Pluck assist.

The fast start gave way to a fractious affair. The match produced eight yellow cards across both sides, five of them for Lexington alone. Addie McCain was booked in the 27th minute for the visitors, and Natasha Flint followed into the referee's notebook five minutes later for Tampa Bay. Hannah Sharts picked up a caution right before halftime as tensions continued to simmer.

The second half brought more of the same. Jordyn Listro was cautioned in the 52nd minute for Tampa Bay, with Tatiana Fung booked shortly after for Lexington. The visitors' discipline problems mounted further as McKenzie Weinert and Hannah Johnson were each shown yellows within two minutes of each other midway through the half. Vivianne Bessette rounded out the card tally for Tampa Bay deep in stoppage time.

Despite the early flurry of goals, neither side could find a winner through the remaining 75-plus minutes. The tempo of the match, disrupted by persistent fouling from both teams, made sustained attacking play difficult to build.

The point apiece leaves both clubs searching for the kind of consistent results needed to separate themselves in the USL Super League standings as the season progresses.
