Michigan Rangers FC edged Wisconsin Conquerors FC 2–1 in NPSL action on Saturday, with H. Mletzko opening the scoring and a C. Power own goal providing the cushion the hosts ultimately needed. C. Mendez pulled one back late for Wisconsin, but it wasn't enough.

Michigan took the lead in the 12th minute through Mletzko, who gave the Rangers an early advantage they would not relinquish. The home side picked up a booking shortly after when A. Amaadour was cautioned in the 25th minute, but the card did little to slow their momentum.

Just before halftime, Michigan's lead doubled in fortunate fashion. Wisconsin's C. Power turned the ball into his own net in the 44th minute, sending the Rangers into the break with a two-goal advantage.

The second half was a more cagey affair. C. Ranta was booked for Michigan in the 76th minute as Wisconsin pushed for a way back into the contest. That pressure finally told in the 89th minute when Mendez struck to halve the deficit and set up a nervy final few minutes for the hosts.

The closing stages grew heated. Both L. Esquivel of Wisconsin and Michigan's G. Vang received yellow cards in the 90th minute as the Conquerors chased a leveler that never came. The final whistle confirmed a 2–1 win for Michigan Rangers FC.

The victory gives the Rangers three valuable points in the NPSL season and will sting for a Wisconsin side that left it far too late to mount a real comeback.
