Louisville City FC and San Antonio FC shared the points in a 1–1 draw in USL Championship action on Saturday night. Mukwelle Akale opened the scoring early for the hosts, while Cristian Parano's second-half equalizer ensured San Antonio left with something to show for their efforts.

Louisville struck first in the 12th minute. Ray Serrano picked out Akale, who converted to give the home side an early advantage. It was a fast start from Louisville, and for the better part of the first half, they looked comfortable with the lead.

San Antonio's frustrations began to surface as the half wore on. Jorge Hernández was booked in the 30th minute, and the visitors struggled to generate meaningful momentum heading into the break.

The second half told a different story. San Antonio grew into the game and pushed for an equalizer with increasing urgency. Akeem Ward picked up a yellow card in the 75th minute as tensions rose, but just three minutes later, the visitors found their breakthrough. Hernández — the same player cautioned earlier — delivered the key pass, and Parano finished to level the score at 1–1.

San Antonio weren't done testing the referee's patience. Lucio Berrón was cautioned in the 82nd minute, the third yellow card of the night for the visitors, as both sides scrapped through a physical closing stretch. Neither team could find a winner.

The draw keeps Louisville City FC's unbeaten home run intact but represents a missed opportunity to gain ground, while San Antonio will take encouragement from fighting back on the road despite a difficult disciplinary night.
