Cleveland SC cruised to a 3–0 victory over Ambassadors FC Ohio in NPSL play on Tuesday, with A. Faye grabbing a brace and B. Nanchoff also finding the net to seal a comfortable win despite the hosts finishing with ten men.

Faye broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, giving Cleveland an early cushion they never looked like relinquishing. The first half ended with the hosts firmly in control.

The second half brought more of the same. Nanchoff extended the lead in the 50th minute, and from there the match turned scrappy. A. Depperschmidt picked up a yellow card two minutes later, followed by T. Harsch in the 55th minute as Cleveland's discipline began to slip. Faye completed his brace on the hour mark to make it 3–0 and effectively end the contest.

The cards kept coming. Ambassadors' G. Gotting was booked in the 65th minute before things went from bad to worse for Cleveland's discipline. J. Akins received a straight red card in the 68th minute, reducing the hosts to ten men. O. Najjar and A. Spratt collected yellows in quick succession in the 70th and 71st minutes — Cleveland racked up four bookings and a sending-off in a 20-minute spell that took some gloss off an otherwise dominant performance.

By then, however, the three-goal margin was more than enough. Cleveland SC saw out the final minutes without further trouble.

The result keeps Cleveland SC in strong form as NPSL's summer season moves into June, building momentum during a critical stretch of the schedule.
