DC Power FC cruised to a 2–0 victory over Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday, with first-half goals from Alyssa Walker in the 18th minute and Dasia Torbert in the 24th putting the visitors firmly in control early.

DC Power started on the front foot despite an early yellow card for Emily Colton in the 14th minute. Just four minutes later, Walker shook off a booking of her own to open the scoring, latching onto a pass from Loza Geinore and finishing to give the visitors the lead. Tampa Bay barely had time to regroup. In the 24th minute, Torbert doubled the advantage, converting from a Paige Almendariz delivery to make it 2–0 before the half-hour mark.

Tampa Bay's frustration showed as the game wore on. Vivianne Bessette picked up a yellow card before halftime, and the hosts continued to struggle for any sustained attacking threat in the second half. Maddie Pokorny was cautioned in the 61st minute, Jordyn Listro followed in the 83rd, and Victoria Haugen was booked deep in stoppage time — four yellows in total for a Sun FC side that never found an answer to DC Power's quick start.

The visitors, meanwhile, managed the game comfortably after their early two-goal cushion, rarely looking troubled as the second half settled into a controlled affair.

The result strengthens DC Power FC's position in the USL Super League standings and extends a difficult stretch for Tampa Bay Sun FC, who will need to find a response quickly as the season progresses.
