Forward Madison FC salvaged a point late, drawing 1–1 with One Knoxville SC in USL League One action on Wednesday. Johan Garibay struck in the 89th minute to cancel out Eli Conway's 73rd-minute opener for the visitors.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of friction. Mark Segbers picked up a yellow card for Forward Madison in first-half stoppage time, and Finn McRobb was booked moments later for One Knoxville, setting a combative tone heading into the break.

One Knoxville broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute when Conway finished from a John Murphy pass to put the visitors ahead. The goal sparked a testy stretch. Matt Glaeser was cautioned for Forward Madison just a minute later, and One Knoxville picked up bookings of their own through William Perkins in the 76th minute and Teddy Baker in the 80th as tempers flared down the stretch.

Madison pressed for an equalizer and found it with time running out. Garibay struck in the 89th minute to level the score and rescue a share of the spoils for the home side. The match remained heated deep into stoppage time, with Kerfalla Toure receiving a late yellow card for Forward Madison.

Six yellow cards were shown across the 90-plus minutes — three to each side — though the referee kept his red card in his pocket throughout.

The draw leaves both teams splitting the points in what shapes up as a pivotal stretch of the League One season as the calendar turns toward the fall.
