Athletic Club Boise snatched all three points in dramatic fashion, beating Portland Hearts of Pine 1–2 thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Thomas Amang in the 94th minute. Tumi Moshobane had opened the scoring for Boise, Diego Gonzalez equalized for Portland, but Amang's late strike settled a contest that looked destined for a draw.

The first half produced few fireworks. Portland's Diego Letayf picked up a yellow card in the 41st minute, and neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval.

Boise came out sharper after the break. Moshobane found the net in the 54th minute to give the visitors a deserved lead, and for a spell it looked as though Portland had no answer. They found one in the 74th minute, however, when Gonzalez finished from a Diogo Barbosa delivery to level the score at 1–1.

Portland pushed for a second. Kemali Green was booked in the 82nd minute as the game grew scrappy, and the hosts carried momentum into the final stretch. But deep into added time, Boise broke hearts at the other end. Amang latched onto a Jonathan Ricketts pass in the 94th minute and buried the winner, earning himself a yellow card moments later — presumably for his celebration.

It was a gut punch for Portland, who will feel they did enough to earn at least a point. For Boise, the three points on the road could prove invaluable as the USL League One season enters its final weeks.
