Erie Commodores FC cruised to a dominant 4–0 victory over Rochester NY FC Academy in NPSL action on Wednesday, with goals from A. Sanchez Ros, M. Tsuji, A. Silva, and J. Tovar Jaime sealing a comfortable home win.

The Commodores controlled proceedings from the outset but had to wait until the 32nd minute for the breakthrough. Sanchez Ros found the net to give Erie the lead heading into halftime, and the goal seemed to settle any early nerves.

Whatever was said at the break clearly worked. Erie came out with intent and doubled their advantage just four minutes into the second half when Tsuji made it 2–0 in the 49th minute. Three minutes later, Silva added a third to effectively kill the contest before the hour mark. Rochester had no answer for the quick-fire combination that turned a one-goal lead into a rout.

D. Wilmot picked up a yellow card for Erie in the 69th minute, but by that point the outcome was well beyond doubt. The Commodores kept pressing, and Tovar Jaime capped off the scoring in the 81st minute to complete the 4–0 demolition.

Rochester offered little going forward throughout and rarely troubled the Erie backline, finishing the match without a single goal to show for their efforts.

The emphatic result strengthens Erie Commodores FC's position in the NPSL standings and sends a clear signal to the rest of the conference that they are a side capable of putting teams away when the chances come.
