FC Naples edged AV ALTA FC 2–1 in a bad-tempered USL League One clash on Wednesday night, with Raul Miglietti and Andrés Ferrín scoring either side of a Jerry Desdunes equalizer.

Miglietti broke the deadlock deep in first-half stoppage time, finishing off a Kevin O'Connor assist to send Naples into the break with a 1–0 lead. The forward picked up a yellow card just minutes into the second half, one of eight bookings dished out across the 90 minutes.

The game grew increasingly fractious as the second half wore on. Cautions flew for both sides — Taylor Gray, Julian Cisneros, and Christopher Garcia were all booked for Naples, while Kaloyan Pehlivanov, Christian Ortiz, and Alfredo Ortiz saw yellow for AV ALTA FC. The referee struggled to keep a lid on proceedings.

Desdunes hauled the visitors level in the 73rd minute, capitalizing on a spell of pressure to make it 1–1. AV ALTA FC looked capable of pushing for a winner from there, but Naples had other ideas.

Ferrín restored the home side's advantage in the 90th minute, converting from an Edward Delgado delivery to snatch all three points at the death. Joaquin Acuna picked up a yellow card in added time as AV ALTA FC's frustration boiled over, but there was no late comeback this time.

The win gives FC Naples a valuable three points in the League One standings and underlines their ability to find results even in scrappy, ill-disciplined affairs.
