Sporting JAX earned a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brooklyn FC in USL Super League action on Saturday, with goals from Paige Kenton and Sophia Boman sealing all three points at home.

The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when Kenton finished off a well-worked move, converting from an Ashlyn Puerta delivery to give Sporting JAX an early advantage. Brooklyn FC struggled to find a foothold in the first half and went into the break trailing.

The second half grew increasingly fractious. Jennifer Cudjoe picked up a yellow card for Brooklyn just three minutes after the restart, and the fouls kept coming. Sporting JAX's Julia Lester was cautioned in the 56th minute, followed by teammate Meg Hughes in the 63rd. Neither side could afford to lose discipline, but it was the visitors who looked more unsettled.

Boman doubled the lead in the 69th minute, putting the result beyond much doubt. Brooklyn FC, already chasing the game, had little left to offer going forward. Jordan Thompson was booked in the 82nd minute as frustration crept in, and Kelsey Hill joined her in the referee's notebook deep in stoppage time. By then, the contest was long settled.

Brooklyn FC rarely threatened across the 90 minutes, and Sporting JAX managed the game efficiently after taking the early lead. The hosts limited chances and struck at the right moments — clinical when it mattered, disciplined when it didn't.

The win strengthens Sporting JAX's position in the USL Super League standings and extends a solid run of home form heading into the stretch of the spring schedule.
