Phoenix Rising FC cruised to a 3-0 victory over Miami FC on Saturday, with Ihsan Sacko scoring twice and Charlie Dennis adding another to complete a dominant away performance in USL Championship action.
Sacko set the tone early, opening the scoring in just the eighth minute to hand Phoenix Rising an immediate advantage. Miami FC struggled to find a foothold after falling behind, and the first half ended with frustration boiling over — Mathieu Ndongo picked up a yellow card for the hosts deep in first-half stoppage time.
The second half brought more of the same. Phoenix Rising's Adrian Pelayo was cautioned in the 54th minute, followed by teammate Eziah Ramirez three minutes later, but any hope that the visitors' discipline might crack was short-lived. Dennis doubled the lead in the 59th minute, effectively putting the contest to bed.
