Richmond Kickers held off a spirited One Knoxville SC comeback to win 3–2 at home on Saturday in USL League One action. Dakota Barnathan (2'), Lucca Dourado (5'), and Tyler Freeman (72') found the net for Richmond, while Denis Krioutchenkov (28') and Mikkel Gøling (37') replied for the visitors.

The Kickers came out firing. Barnathan needed just two minutes to open the scoring, finishing off a pass from Sam Layton to put the hosts ahead almost immediately. Three minutes later, Dourado doubled the lead with a goal set up by Harold Hanson. Richmond were 2–0 up before most fans had settled into their seats.

One Knoxville refused to fold. Krioutchenkov pulled one back in the 28th minute, converting from a Stavros Zarokostas delivery, and Gøling leveled the match in the 37th minute to make it 2–2 heading into halftime. A dominant opening from Richmond had been completely erased in the space of nine first-half minutes.

The second half was a tighter affair. Layton picked up a yellow card in the 55th minute, but the decisive moment came in the 72nd when Freeman restored Richmond's lead, finishing from a Zahir Vasquez assist. One Knoxville pushed for another equalizer in the closing stages but couldn't find it. Chris Tiao was cautioned in the 85th minute, and Jordan Skelton followed into the book in stoppage time as frustration crept in for the visitors.

The win gives Richmond Kickers a valuable three points as the regular season enters its final stretch.
