Louisville City FC ran out 4–2 winners over Rhode Island FC on Saturday in USL Championship action, with goals from Jake Morris, Zach Duncan, Kyle Adams, and Jansen Wilson sealing a comfortable result despite a competitive first half. Jojea Kwizera and Clay Holstad scored for the visitors.

Rhode Island struck first. Kwizera finished from a Leonardo Afonso feed in the 21st minute to give his side the lead. Louisville's response was almost immediate — Morris leveled just two minutes later, converting off a Chris Donovan delivery. Morris picked up a yellow card in the 31st minute, and Afonso was booked six minutes later as the first half grew scrappy.
