Tampa Bay Sun FC and Fort Lauderdale United FC played out a goalless draw in USL Super League action on Saturday, with neither side able to find a breakthrough despite 90 minutes of effort.

The first notable incident came early when Fort Lauderdale's Kiara Locklear was booked in the 12th minute, setting a physical tone for the rest of the contest. The remainder of the first half passed without a goal, as both teams headed into the break level at 0–0.

The second half brought more edge than end product. Sh'nia Gordon picked up a yellow card for Fort Lauderdale in the 52nd minute, and Tampa Bay's discipline began to unravel shortly after. Natasha Flint was cautioned in the 58th minute, followed by Gabby Provenzano ten minutes later. Sandrine Mauron then went into the book in the 89th minute — giving Tampa Bay three yellows in the final half-hour alone. The rising card count pointed to growing frustration from a home side unable to carve out a decisive chance.

Five yellow cards were shown across the match, all without a single red, but the stop-start nature of the second half made it difficult for either team to build sustained momentum. Neither goalkeeper was forced into enough meaningful action to separate the sides.

The point keeps both Florida clubs in the mix as the USL Super League season continues, though neither will look back on this one as an opportunity seized.
