Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC dismantled New Mexico United 4–0 at home on Friday night in USL Championship action, with Kipp Keller (31'), Yosuke Hanya (34'), Jonas Fjeldberg (45'), and Aidan Rocha (82') all finding the net in a dominant performance.

The first half hour was scoreless, though tensions surfaced early when New Mexico's Will Seymore picked up a yellow card in the 15th minute. The Switchbacks broke through in the 31st minute when Keller opened the scoring, and the floodgates followed. Just three minutes later, Hanya doubled the lead, finishing off a delivery from Fjeldberg. The Norwegian midfielder then got on the scoresheet himself right before halftime, making it 3–0 heading into the break.

New Mexico came out of the tunnel needing a response but found only frustration. Niko Hämäläinen was booked two minutes after the restart, Sofiane Djeffal followed him into the referee's notebook in the 53rd minute, and Cristian Nava joined them in the 62nd. The visitors' discipline had completely unraveled.

Rocha put the finishing touch on the rout in the 82nd minute, converting from a Sadam Masereka pass to complete the scoring at 4–0. He was then booked himself four minutes later, with teammate Garven-Michee Metusala and New Mexico's Marlon Vargas also carded in a tetchy final stretch. In all, the referee showed seven yellows across the two sides.

The comprehensive victory strengthens Colorado Springs' position in the USL Championship standings and underlines their credentials as a serious force at home this season.
