Spokane Velocity edged Union Omaha 1–0 at home on Saturday thanks to a second-half goal from Brent Kallman in the 67th minute, earning all three points in a tight USL League One contest.

The first half produced little in the way of decisive action, with neither side able to find a breakthrough before the interval. The game remained scoreless and largely uneventful through the opening 45 minutes.

Union Omaha's frustration began to show early in the second half when Edrey Caceres picked up a yellow card in the 52nd minute. Spokane continued to press, and the deadlock was finally broken in the 67th minute. Kallman, the veteran center back, found the net to put the hosts ahead. It was a goal that proved to be the difference.

From there, Spokane Velocity managed the game effectively, keeping Union Omaha at bay for the remaining minutes. The visitors were unable to muster an equalizer, and Velocity held firm to secure the clean sheet.

The victory gives Spokane Velocity a valuable early-season win as the 2026 USL League One campaign gets underway, while Union Omaha will look to bounce back quickly after a frustrating afternoon on the road.
