AV ALTA FC cruised past Sarasota Paradise 3–1 in USL League One action on Wednesday, with goals from Cesar Bahena Jr (5'), Christian Ortiz (18'), and Godwin Antwi (77') sealing a comfortable home victory. Roberto Burlew pulled one back for Sarasota deep in stoppage time.

The hosts wasted no time taking control. Bahena Jr opened the scoring just five minutes in, finishing off a Jerry Desdunes delivery to put AV ALTA FC ahead before Sarasota could settle. Desdunes was involved again in the 18th minute, this time setting up Ortiz, who doubled the lead and gave the home side a two-goal cushion before the 20-minute mark.

Sarasota Paradise offered little in response through the remainder of the first half and into the second. Frustration began to creep in after the break — Jordan Bender was cautioned in the 72nd minute, followed by teammate Declan Watters three minutes later as the visitors struggled to find a foothold.

Any hopes of a comeback were effectively killed off in the 77th minute. Ilias Aoumaich, who had been booked earlier in the half, delivered the pass for Antwi to slam home AV ALTA FC's third. Burlew grabbed a consolation for Sarasota in the first minute of added time, converting from an Andres Rodriguez assist, but it was far too late to matter.

The result strengthens AV ALTA FC's position in the League One standings and extends a difficult stretch for Sarasota Paradise, who will need to find answers quickly if they hope to remain competitive this season.
