Charleston Battery dismantled Sporting JAX 4–0 at home on Saturday, with Colton Swan scoring twice and Maalique Foster and Kirill Pakhomov also finding the net in a dominant USL Championship performance.

The opening stages were scrappy. Houssou Landry picked up an early yellow card in the 11th minute, and Sporting JAX's Tyshawn Rose was booked shortly after in the 18th. But it was Landry who shook off that caution to set up the opener, feeding Colton Swan to break the deadlock in the 28th minute.

Charleston needed just four more minutes to double their lead. Jeremy Kelly delivered the ball for Foster, who made it 2–0 in the 32nd minute. The Battery were relentless before the break, and Foster turned provider in the 42nd minute, teeing up Pakhomov to hammer home and send the hosts into halftime with a commanding three-goal cushion. Joey Akpunonu was booked right at the stroke of halftime, one of three Charleston yellows on the night.

The second half was a more subdued affair, though Swan added his second in the 64th minute, finishing from a Nathan Messer delivery to complete the rout. Sporting JAX's frustration mounted late on, with Luc Granitur and Antonio Gomez picking up yellow cards in quick succession around the 85th minute, followed by Emil Jääskeläinen in stoppage time.

The emphatic victory reinforces Charleston Battery's credentials as serious contenders this season, while Sporting JAX will need to regroup quickly after a chastening night on the road.
