Spokane Zephyr FC held off Sporting JAX to claim a 2–1 victory at home on Saturday in USL Super League action. Tori Waldeck opened the scoring in the 12th minute, Emma Jaskaniec added a second-half insurance goal in the 69th, and Sophia Boman netted for the visitors in between.

Waldeck struck early to give Spokane the lead, putting the hosts in a comfortable position inside the opening quarter-hour. The Zephyr's control didn't last long, though. Catherine Rapp picked up a yellow card in the 24th minute, and Sporting JAX capitalized on their momentum shortly after. Boman equalized in the 36th minute to send the teams into halftime level at 1–1.

The second half was a tighter affair until the final 25 minutes. Kaitlyn Parks was cautioned for Sporting JAX in the 68th minute, and just a minute later, Spokane retook the lead. Jaskaniec finished from a Waldeck delivery to make it 2–1 — Waldeck's second direct contribution of the evening. It was a decisive sequence that swung the match firmly back in the home side's favor.

Sporting JAX pushed for another equalizer in the closing stages but couldn't find a way through. Meg Hughes was booked deep into stoppage time as frustration crept into the visitors' play, and Spokane saw out the remaining minutes without serious threat.

The win gives Spokane Zephyr FC valuable three points at home and could prove significant as the USL Super League season enters its business end.
