Athletic Club Boise came from behind to beat Monterey Bay FC 4–3 in a wild USL Championship contest on Friday night, with goals from Denys Kostyshyn, Dominic Gasso, Jake Crull, and Thomas Amang completing the comeback. Eduardo Blancas, Wesley Leggett, and Chris Nadje scored for the visitors.

Monterey Bay struck first. Blancas opened the scoring in the ninth minute, and the visitors kept pushing. Leggett doubled the lead in the 20th minute, finishing off a pass from Ryuga Nakamura. Boise looked rattled, trailing 2–0 inside 20 minutes with little answer.

Kostyshyn pulled one back on the half-hour mark, converting from a Blake Bodily delivery to make it 2–1. The response was short-lived. Nadje restored Monterey Bay's two-goal cushion just four minutes later, set up by Paul Gindiri, and the away side took a 3–1 lead into halftime.

The second half belonged entirely to Boise. Gasso made it 3–2 in the 51st minute, and Crull drew the hosts level four minutes later — again from a Bodily assist, the midfielder's second of the night. Monterey Bay's discipline, already shaky with four first-half bookings, continued to fray. Nico Gordon picked up his second yellow in the 73rd minute but avoided a sending-off — a let-off that didn't ultimately matter as his side failed to hold on.

Amang sealed it in the 86th minute, prodding home the winner to cap a remarkable turnaround from two goals down.

The victory gives Athletic Club Boise valuable momentum as the season pushes deeper into the spring stretch, while Monterey Bay will wonder how they let a commanding lead slip away so completely.
