Lexington SC cruised to a 3–0 home victory over Brooklyn FC on Wednesday night, scoring three times in the final 20 minutes to put the game to bed. Aaron Molloy opened the scoring in the 74th minute, Blaine Ferri doubled the lead ten minutes later, and Malik Henry-Scott added a third in first-half stoppage time to complete the rout.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of needle. The referee was busy early, booking Brooklyn's Gabriel Alves in just the third minute and Malik Pinto in the 18th. Lexington weren't immune either — Nicolas Firmino picked up a yellow in the 19th minute, and Molloy followed him into the book on the half-hour mark. The two sides went into the break level at 0–0, but the card count was already mounting.

The second half continued in the same scrappy vein. Alfredo Midence Alvarado and Phillip Goodrum were cautioned for Lexington in quick succession around the hour mark, while Brooklyn's Taimu Okiyoshi and Rocco Romeo were booked in the 72nd and 73rd minutes respectively. Eight yellows across the 90 minutes told the story of a bruising contest.

Then Molloy, already walking a tightrope after his first-half booking, broke the deadlock in the 74th minute. Lexington smelled blood. Ferri made it 2–0 in the 84th minute, finishing off a pass from Firmino. Henry-Scott sealed the result in added time, converting from a Michael Adedokun delivery to put gloss on a dominant late spell.

The comprehensive win gives Lexington
