New Mexico United and Indy Eleven played out a 2–2 draw in USL Championship action on Friday night, with the hosts surrendering a two-goal lead in the second half. Luther Archimède and Greg Hurst scored early for New Mexico, while Malik Henry-Scott and Jack Blake struck after the break to earn Indy a point on the road.

New Mexico came out fast. Archimède opened the scoring in the 16th minute, and just two minutes later Hurst doubled the advantage, finishing off an Archimède assist. It was a devastating burst that left Indy reeling, and the visitors spent the remainder of the first half trying to steady the ship without finding a way back.

Whatever was said at halftime in the Indy dressing room worked. Henry-Scott pulled one back in the 50th minute to change the complexion of the match, and suddenly the momentum had shifted entirely. Nine minutes later, Blake completed the comeback, leveling the score at 2–2 in the 59th minute.

New Mexico pushed for a winner in the final half hour but couldn't find one. The hosts picked up a pair of late yellow cards — Ousman Jabang cautioned in the 88th minute — as frustration crept in during the closing stages. Neither side could manufacture a decisive chance, and the match ended level.

For Indy Eleven, a point away from home after trailing by two goals will feel like a result worth having, while New Mexico United will be left to wonder how they let a commanding early lead slip through their fingers.
