FC Naples edged Greenville Triumph SC 1–0 on Saturday in USL League One, with Andrés Ferrín's 18th-minute strike proving the difference.

The match got physical early. FC Naples midfielder Jaden Strumier was booked inside five minutes, setting a combative tone for what became a fractious afternoon. Naples channeled that energy into an attacking move shortly after, as Christopher Garcia picked out Ferrín, who converted to give the hosts a 1–0 lead.

Greenville's Deshane Beckford saw yellow before halftime as tempers continued to flare, but neither side could alter the scoreline heading into the break.

The second half belonged largely to the referee's notebook. Naples accumulated yellows at a steady clip — Matt Poland in the 61st minute, Hudson Gay in the 72nd, Raul Miglietti in the 81st, and Edward Delgado in the 89th. Five Naples players were cautioned in total, a tally that suggested the home side was willing to do whatever was necessary to protect their slender advantage. Greenville pushed but could not find an equalizer, and Naples held firm through a tense final stretch.

It was an ugly, pragmatic win for FC Naples — the kind of result built more on resolve than rhythm. Still, three points are three points in a tight League One table, and an early-season home victory gives Naples something to build on as the campaign gets underway.
