Spokane Velocity FC picked up a comfortable 2-0 away win over One Knoxville SC in USL League One action on Sunday, with goals from Shavon John-Brown and Neco Brett sealing the three points on the road.

Spokane took control early. John-Brown opened the scoring in the 18th minute, finishing off a pass from Lucky Onyebuchi Opara to put the visitors ahead. The goal set the tone for a first half that grew increasingly scrappy. Camron Miller was booked for Spokane in the 25th minute, and Knoxville's Stavros Zarokostas picked up a yellow four minutes later as tempers flicked across the pitch. Andre Lewis went into the referee's notebook just before halftime, ensuring both sides headed into the break with cautions stacking up.

One Knoxville came out needing a response but instead found themselves further behind. John Murphy was cautioned early in the second half, and on the hour mark, Brett doubled Spokane's lead. Lewis, despite his earlier booking, provided the assist as Brett made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute. That second goal effectively killed the contest.

Knoxville never truly threatened a comeback. Teddy Baker's 81st-minute yellow card summed up the home side's frustration — three bookings across the squad and nothing to show for it going forward. Luis Gil rounded out a card-heavy affair when he was cautioned in the 90th minute, but by then the result was long settled.

The win strengthens Spokane Velocity's push in the League One standings, while One Knoxville will need to regroup quickly after a flat performance at home.
