Fort Wayne FC earned a comfortable 2-0 victory away at Richmond Kickers on Saturday, with Jack Thomas and Taig Healy combining to score both goals in a dominant first-half performance in USL League One action.

The visitors took control early. Thomas opened the scoring in the 17th minute, finishing off a pass from Healy to put Fort Wayne ahead. The goal came just four minutes after Richmond's Dakota Barnathan had been booked, and the Kickers struggled to regain their composure.

Healy then doubled the lead before halftime, converting in the 39th minute from a Thomas feed — the pair reversing their earlier roles to devastating effect. Fort Wayne's Tiago Dias picked up a yellow card shortly after, but it hardly mattered. The visitors had already done enough damage.

Richmond came out needing a response in the second half but never truly threatened a comeback. Austin Amer was cautioned in the 63rd minute as the Kickers' frustration grew, and the hosts failed to create enough to trouble Fort Wayne's backline in any sustained way.

The final 30 minutes turned scrappy. Fort Wayne collected three more bookings — Javier Armas in the 65th minute, Thomas in the 74th, and Ryan Becher in the 89th — as they managed the game and saw out the result without serious alarm. Six yellow cards across the two sides reflected a match that grew increasingly fractious as it wore on, even if the outcome was rarely in doubt after Healy's first-half strike.

The win gives Fort Wayne valuable points on the road and continues a difficult stretch for Richmond, who will need to find answers quickly at home.
