Sioux Falls Thunder FC and Siouxland United FC played out a 2–2 draw in NPSL action on Wednesday, with A. Abdalla (20'), K. Eguchi (29'), E. Glissendorf (54'), and N. North (74') all finding the net.

The hosts took the early initiative. Abdalla opened the scoring in the 20th minute to give Sioux Falls Thunder FC the lead, and the home side kept pressing. Eguchi doubled the advantage nine minutes later, putting the Thunder up 2–0 before the half-hour mark. At that point, Siouxland United looked in real trouble.

A. Bjerke picked up a yellow card for the visitors in the 27th minute, followed by a booking for Sioux Falls' K. Ogawa in the 33rd. Neither side could add to the scoresheet before the break, and the Thunder took their two-goal cushion into halftime.

The second half told a different story. X. Davidson was cautioned for Sioux Falls in the 53rd minute, and just a minute later Glissendorf pulled one back for Siouxland United to make it 2–1. The momentum had shifted decisively. The visitors smelled an equalizer, and North delivered it in the 74th minute, completing the comeback to level the match at 2–2.

Sioux Falls Thunder FC will feel this one slipped away — a commanding first-half position surrendered inside 20 second-half minutes. Siouxland United, meanwhile, showed resilience to claw back from two goals down on the road.

The draw leaves both sides sharing the points in what could prove a significant result in a tight NPSL standings race as the summer season progresses.
