AV Alta FC came from behind to beat Orange County SC 2–1 in USL Championship action on Saturday, with goals from Collin Anderson and Ilias Aoumaich overturning an early deficit.

Orange County struck first. Tom Brewitt opened the scoring in the 27th minute, converting from a Christopher Hegardt delivery to give the visitors the lead. AV Alta FC picked up a booking shortly after, with Osvaldo Lay cautioned in the 33rd minute as the hosts struggled to find a foothold.

They found one before halftime. Anderson equalized three minutes before the break, finishing off a chance created by Elliott Jahng to send the sides into the interval level at 1–1.

The second half was a scrappy affair for AV Alta FC, who collected three more yellow cards across the final 45 minutes. Javier Mariona was booked in the 57th minute, but the hosts kept pressing. The breakthrough came in the 76th minute when Aoumaich latched onto a Jimmie Villalobos pass and fired home to put AV Alta FC ahead for the first time.

From there, AV Alta FC managed the game — if not always cleanly. Villalobos was cautioned in the 86th minute, and goalscorer Aoumaich joined him in the book three minutes later, bringing the hosts' tally to four yellows on the night. None of it mattered on the scoreboard. Orange County couldn't find a late equalizer, and AV Alta FC held on.

The victory gives AV Alta FC a valuable three points at home as the season pushes deeper into the summer stretch of the USL Championship calendar.
