Lexington SC and Carolina Ascent FC shared the points in a 1–1 draw in USL Super League action on Friday night, with Addie McCain's stoppage-time equalizer in the 90+7th minute canceling out Audrey Coleman's second-half opener for the visitors.
The first half produced no goals, though tensions rose as the match wore on. McCain picked up a yellow card in the 53rd minute, and Carolina's Rylee Baisden followed into the referee's notebook five minutes later.
Carolina Ascent broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when Coleman finished from a Taylor Porter delivery to give the visitors the lead. Three minutes later, Sydney Studer was cautioned as Carolina looked to manage the game and protect their advantage. Brianna Martínez was also booked in the 89th minute as the visitors picked up cards at a steady clip late on.
