Joy AC edged Minnesota Blizzard FC 3–2 in a wild NPSL contest on June 29, with five goals spread across the match and a decisive own goal from Minnesota's R. Bert in the 90th minute sealing the result. G. Aboni, N. Mortenson, P. Tennison, and K. Langendam also found the net.

Minnesota struck first. Aboni opened the scoring in the sixth minute to give the visitors an early lead, but the advantage lasted barely two minutes. Mortenson equalized for Joy AC in the eighth, and the rapid-fire exchange set the tone for what followed — even if the goals dried up for the next 70 minutes.

The second half remained goalless until a frantic final stretch. Tennison restored Minnesota's lead in the 79th minute, putting the Blizzard back in front and seemingly in control. Joy AC needed just four minutes to respond. Langendam pulled the hosts level in the 83rd, dragging the game back to square terms.

Then came the cruel finish. With the clock ticking into the 90th minute, Bert turned the ball into his own net to hand Joy AC a 3–2 lead Minnesota could not recover from. It was a gut-wrenching way for the Blizzard to lose a match they had led twice.

Neither side picked up a booking, a rarity given the intensity of the closing stages.

The victory gives Joy AC three valuable points at home and keeps their NPSL campaign moving in the right direction heading into the summer stretch.
