Sporting JAX cruised to a 2-0 victory over Dallas Trinity FC on Saturday, with Paige Kenton and Ashlyn Puerta scoring in the first half to seal all three points on the road in USL Super League action.

The visitors wasted no time making their intentions clear. Kenton opened the scoring in just the sixth minute, putting Sporting JAX ahead before Dallas Trinity had any chance to settle into the match. The early deficit left the home side chasing the game from the outset.

Things went from bad to worse for Dallas Trinity in the 23rd minute. Puerta doubled the lead, finishing from a Baylee DeSmit delivery to give Sporting JAX a commanding two-goal cushion before the half-hour mark.

Dallas Trinity struggled to find a way back into the contest. The home side's frustration became evident in the second half as Maya McCutcheon picked up a yellow card in the 71st minute, followed by Amber Brooks going into the book ten minutes later. Neither booking changed the complexion of a match Sporting JAX had firmly in hand.

The visitors managed the game comfortably through the closing stages, with Daviana Vaka collecting a late yellow card deep in stoppage time — the only blemish on an otherwise controlled away performance.

Dallas Trinity rarely threatened, and Sporting JAX's defensive discipline ensured the clean sheet was never seriously in doubt after the break.

The result strengthens Sporting JAX's position in the USL Super League standings and piles further pressure on a Dallas Trinity side that will need to find answers quickly as the season progresses.
