FC Tulsa came from behind to beat Monterey Bay FC 2–1 on the road Saturday in USL Championship action. Paul Gindiri opened the scoring for the hosts in the 25th minute, but second-half goals from Jamie Webber and Jeorgio Kocevski turned the game on its head.

Monterey Bay started the first half on the front foot — and on the wrong side of the referee's notebook. Belmar Joseph picked up a yellow card in the 22nd minute before Gindiri gave the home side the lead three minutes later. Gindiri himself was then cautioned in the 37th minute, meaning two of Monterey Bay's outfield players headed into the break carrying bookings.

Whatever FC Tulsa's staff said at halftime worked. Webber equalized four minutes after the restart, leveling things at 1–1. He was booked shortly after in the 53rd minute, but the momentum had already shifted. Kocevski completed the turnaround in the 57th minute, finishing off a Bailey Sparks delivery to put the visitors ahead for the first time.

Monterey Bay pushed for an equalizer but couldn't find one. Nick Ross was booked in the 71st minute as frustration crept in, and Tulsa's Lamar Batista picked up a late yellow of his own in the 78th minute as the away side managed the game out. Five yellow cards across the 90 minutes told the story of a physical, scrappy affair.

The result hands FC Tulsa a valuable three points on the road and leaves Monterey Bay searching for answers after surrendering a first-half lead at home.
