Tampa Bay Rowdies edged Miami FC 3–2 in a feisty USL Championship clash on Friday night, with goals from Russell Cicerone (10'), Matt Myers (12'), and Marco Micaletto (80') enough to see off a Miami side that twice threatened to claw its way back. Arney Rocha (45+2') and Jürgen Locadia (76') scored for the hosts.

The Rowdies wasted no time seizing control. Cicerone opened the scoring in the 10th minute, finishing from a Matt Myers delivery to make it 1–0. Just two minutes later, Myers got on the scoresheet himself, converting from a Sebastian Cruz pass to double the advantage. Miami, already trailing and with Rodrigo da Costa booked inside eight minutes, looked rattled.

The hosts steadied before halftime, though, and Rocha's goal in first-half stoppage time gave them a lifeline heading into the break at 2–1.

Miami carried that momentum into the second half and found their equalizer through Locadia, who had been cautioned just four minutes earlier. The Brazilian-born Dutchman latched onto a Mathieu Ndongo feed in the 76th minute to level the match at 2–2.

The parity lasted barely four minutes. Micaletto restored Tampa Bay's lead in the 80th minute, finishing off a Charlie Ostrem assist to make it 3–2. Miami pushed hard for another equalizer, but the closing stages descended into a booking-filled affair. Diego Mello and Ndongo picked up yellows in quick succession for Miami, while Tampa Bay collected three cautions of their own deep into stoppage time as the Rowdies saw the game out.

The result gives Tampa Bay a valuable three points on the road and keeps their push up the USL Championship standings on track.
