Corpus Christi FC and One Knoxville SC played out a 2–2 draw in USL League One on Saturday, with Blake Bowen scoring twice for the hosts only for Logan Erb to rescue a point for Knoxville deep into stoppage time.

The first half was defined more by the referee's notebook than by quality in the final third. Nine yellow cards were shown across the 90 minutes — five to Corpus Christi alone — and the match threatened to boil over well before either side found the net. One Knoxville's Mikkel Gøling was booked twice, in the 39th and 48th minutes, though remarkably no red cards were issued. Amid the chaos, Bowen broke the deadlock three minutes before halftime, finishing from a Tomás Ritondale assist to give Corpus Christi a 1–0 lead at the break.

One Knoxville responded ten minutes into the second half. Braudílio Rodrigues equalized in the 55th minute to level the contest at 1–1. The parity lasted just 14 minutes. Bowen struck again in the 69th, this time without an assist, to restore Corpus Christi's advantage and put the hosts within touching distance of all three points.

They couldn't hold on. Erb found the net in the seventh minute of stoppage time to snatch a share of the spoils for One Knoxville, turning what looked like a home victory into a gut-punch draw for Corpus Christi.

The late equalizer will feel like a win for One Knoxville and a loss for the hosts, who squandered a lead twice and will wonder whether their lack of discipline — five bookings across the squad — ultimately cost them control of the match.
