Chattanooga Red Wolves SC picked up a comfortable 2–0 home victory over Westchester SC in USL League One action on Wednesday night, with second-half goals from Timofey Timchenko in the 54th minute and Omar Hernandez in the 65th settling the contest.

The first half produced little in the way of goals but plenty of edge. Eric Kinzner picked up a yellow card for the Red Wolves in the 41st minute as tensions simmered heading into the break. The scoreline remained level at halftime, but the complexion of the game was about to shift.

Westchester's Noah Powder was booked early in the second half, and two minutes later Chattanooga broke the deadlock. Timchenko found the net in the 54th minute to give the hosts a lead they would never relinquish. The goal seemed to knock the wind out of Westchester, who struggled to mount a meaningful response.

Bobby Pierre earned a caution for the visitors in the 63rd minute, and the Red Wolves punished them again just moments later. Hernandez doubled the advantage in the 65th minute, effectively putting the result beyond doubt with 25 minutes still to play.

Chattanooga saw out the remainder of the match without serious alarm, though the closing stages grew scrappy. Jordan Ayimbila was cautioned in the 84th minute, and Joshua Ramos joined him in the book in the 90th — the Red Wolves collecting three yellows on the night. None of it mattered much with the points already secured.

The win gives Chattanooga Red Wolves SC valuable momentum in the League One standings as the season pushes deeper into the summer stretch.
