Orange County SC claimed a 1-0 victory over FC Tulsa on Saturday night, with Lyam MacKinnon's second-half strike proving the difference in a testy USL Championship affair.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of needle. Jamie Webber picked up a yellow card for FC Tulsa in the 24th minute, and Orange County's Marcelo Palomino followed him into the book six minutes later. Despite the rising tensions, neither side could find a breakthrough before the break.

The deadlock was broken ten minutes into the second half. MacKinnon found the net in the 55th minute to put Orange County ahead, and from that point on, the visitors had something to protect.

FC Tulsa's frustration became increasingly visible as the clock wound down. Delentz Pierre was cautioned in the 69th minute, Ian followed in the 84th, and Raheem Sommersall picked up a yellow in the 89th — four bookings in total for the home side, three of them coming after they fell behind. Tulsa pushed for an equalizer but couldn't manufacture a clear route back into the game.

Orange County, for their part, managed the final stretch comfortably enough. They held firm without ever needing to survive any late drama, seeing out a professional away win that rarely looked in serious jeopardy once MacKinnon had struck.

The result gives Orange County SC a valuable three points on the road and leaves FC Tulsa searching for answers after a frustrating night that produced more cards than chances.
