Lexington SC dismantled Tampa Bay Rowdies 4–1 on the road Saturday, with Xavier Zengue, Nicolas Firmino, Marcus Epps, and Tarik Scott all finding the net in a dominant Independence Day display at the Rowdies' expense.

Lexington wasted no time seizing control. Zengue opened the scoring in the 12th minute, converting from a Braudílio Rodrigues feed, and just two minutes later Firmino doubled the advantage after Phillip Goodrum picked him out. Tampa Bay had barely processed the first goal before conceding the second, and the early two-goal deficit set the tone for a difficult afternoon.

The Rowdies never found a foothold. Epps made it 3–0 just before halftime, finishing off an Aaron Molloy ball in the 44th minute, and frustrations boiled over for the hosts — Max Schneider and Leland Archer were both booked in first-half stoppage time.

Tampa Bay showed signs of life midway through the second half when Gino Vivi pulled one back in the 78th minute, heading home from a Charlie Ostrem delivery. Any hope of a comeback, however, was short-lived. Tarik Scott restored the four-goal cushion in the 86th minute, with Molloy providing his second assist of the match. Nathan Dossantos picked up a late yellow card as the Rowdies' evening went from bad to worse.

Molloy was the architect throughout, directly involved in two of Lexington's four goals, while Tampa Bay's defensive frailties — particularly in that devastating opening quarter-hour — proved impossible to overcome.

The result marks a statement road victory for Lexington SC as the season crosses its midway point, while the Rowdies will need to regroup quickly after a bruising loss at home.
