DC Power FC edged Fort Lauderdale United FC 2–1 at home on Tuesday night, with Tatum Thomason scoring both goals — including a dramatic late winner in the 89th minute — to secure all three points in USL Super League action.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of edge. Fort Lauderdale's Nicole Vernis was booked in the 18th minute, and DC Power's Emily Colton followed her into the referee's notebook shortly before halftime with a yellow card of her own in the 40th minute. Neither side could find a breakthrough before the break.

The second half was a different story. Thomason opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, finishing off a chance created by Colton to give DC Power the lead. Fort Lauderdale responded quickly. Just five minutes later, Abigail Hugh equalized, converting from a Kelsey Oyler assist to level things at 1–1.

The match looked headed for a draw as the clock ticked past the 85th minute. Then Thomason struck again. Fed by Mckenna Whitham in the 89th minute, she found the net for the second time to restore DC Power's advantage and send the home crowd into celebration. Fort Lauderdale had no time to mount another comeback.

Thomason's brace was the difference in a match that swung entirely on a 27-minute stretch in the second half. The result gives DC Power FC a valuable three points and a confidence-boosting home victory as the Super League season continues to take shape.
