WC Predators stunned Jackson Lions FC with two goals in the final three minutes to snatch a 2–1 victory on the road in NPSL action on Saturday. E. Heyward had given the hosts a first-half lead in the 26th minute, but an own goal in the 87th and I. Abbey's strike in the 89th turned the match on its head.

Jackson Lions controlled the early tempo and were rewarded midway through the first half when Heyward found the net to put them ahead. The goal settled the home side, who carried their advantage into the break and through much of the second half without serious alarm.

The hosts did pick up a pair of yellow cards — D. Malhomme de la Roche cautioned in the 64th minute and M. Glennon following five minutes later — but neither booking proved decisive in itself. What proved decisive was a catastrophic three-minute spell at the end.

Jackson Lions looked set to see the game out until an own goal in the 87th minute handed WC Predators a lifeline they barely deserved. Two minutes later, Abbey completed the turnaround, finishing to give the visitors a lead that Jackson Lions simply had no time to answer.

It was a brutal collapse for the home side, who did almost everything right for 86 minutes only to leave empty-handed. For WC Predators, the smash-and-grab three points could prove significant as the NPSL season moves deeper into the summer stretch.
