Union Omaha edged Corpus Christi FC 2–1 at home on Saturday, with a stoppage-time winner from Samuel Owusu sealing all three points in USL League One action.

The hosts took an early lead through Brandon Knapp in the 17th minute. Pato Botello Faz provided the service, and Knapp made no mistake to put Union Omaha ahead. From there, Omaha carried the advantage deep into the second half, but Corpus Christi refused to go quietly.

Arthur Medina equalized in the 83rd minute, finishing off a Jake Keegan pass to level the match and give the visitors genuine hope of snatching something on the road. The goal shifted momentum, and the final minutes grew tense. Sam Roscoe-Byrne had already been booked for Corpus Christi in the 73rd minute, and the away side's frustration became more visible as the clock ticked on. Laurence Wootton picked up a yellow for Union Omaha in the 87th, and Enock Kwakwa was cautioned for Corpus Christi two minutes later as both teams scrapped for a result.

Then Owusu struck. Deep into added time at the 90+3 mark, the Union Omaha forward found the net to restore the lead and send the home crowd into celebration. There was no time left for Corpus Christi to respond.

It was a gut-punch finish for the visitors, who had done well to claw back into the contest. For Union Omaha, the late drama delivers a crucial three points early in the season and sets a tone of resilience that could prove valuable in the months ahead.
