Spokane Velocity FC and Athletic Club Boise shared the points in a 2–2 draw in USL League One on Saturday, with Jesús Barea's brace canceled out by a rapid-fire Spokane response early in the second half.

Boise took control of the first half through Barea. The forward opened the scoring in the 29th minute, then doubled the visitors' advantage deep in first-half stoppage time when he converted from a Dominic Gasso delivery to send his side into the break with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

Spokane came out a different team after halftime. Luis Gil pulled one back in the 48th minute, finishing off a ball from Lucky Onyebuchi Opara. Just two minutes later, Derek Waldeck leveled the match, connecting on a Jack Denton assist to make it 2–2 inside the opening five minutes of the second half.

The game grew testy as both sides pushed for a winner. Opara was booked in the 62nd minute, Boise's Jake Crull picked up a yellow six minutes later, and Nick Spielman went into the referee's notebook late on in the 88th minute. Neither team could find a decisive third goal, however, and the match ended level.

The draw extends what has been a tight season across USL League One, with neither Spokane nor Boise able to claim the full three points in a contest that swung sharply on a five-minute stretch at the start of the second half.
