Athletic Club Boise ground out a 0–1 win at Westchester SC on Sunday, with Bobby Pierre's second-half strike proving the difference in a feisty USL League One contest.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of needle. Boise's Dominic Gasso picked up a yellow card in the 14th minute, and Westchester's Aleksei Armas followed him into the book twelve minutes later. Neither side could find a breakthrough before the break, though the tension was clearly building.

Westchester's Kyle Evans was cautioned in the 54th minute, and the hosts' frustration only deepened eight minutes later. Pierre found the back of the net in the 62nd minute to put Boise ahead, a goal that shifted the balance of the match decisively.

Westchester pushed for an equalizer in the final half hour but couldn't create enough to trouble Boise's backline. The closing stages grew scrappy. Joseph Hanson was booked for Boise in the 78th minute, while Westchester picked up two more yellows through Maximus Jennings in the 86th minute and Bobby Pierre in the 89th — bringing the home side's total to four cautions on the night. Six yellow cards were shown in all, reflecting a match that never settled into any rhythm.

Boise held firm through the late pressure and saw out the result without serious alarm.

The victory gives Athletic Club Boise a valuable three points on the road and continues what has been a solid stretch of form as the season moves past the midway mark.
