Sporting JAX cruised to a 3–1 victory over Tampa Bay Sun FC in USL Super League action on Saturday, with goals from Ashlyn Puerta (28'), Katherine Sullivan (63'), and Andrea Fernández (89') sealing a comfortable home win. Jordan Fusco grabbed a consolation for the visitors in the 65th minute.

The first half belonged to Sporting JAX. Puerta broke the deadlock midway through the opening period, finishing from a Paige Kenton delivery in the 28th minute to give the hosts a deserved lead. Tampa Bay struggled to create much in response, and Sporting JAX took their one-goal advantage into the break.

The second half brought more action at both ends. Puerta picked up a yellow card in the 56th minute, but it was her teammate Sullivan who stole the spotlight seven minutes later, doubling the lead off another Kenton assist in the 63rd minute. Kenton's influence on the match was undeniable — two assists, two goals, both from open play.

Tampa Bay responded almost immediately. Fusco pulled one back just two minutes later to make it 2–1, injecting brief life into the visitors' hopes of a comeback. That momentum, however, never materialized into anything more. Sporting JAX held firm and controlled possession through the closing stages before Fernández put the result beyond doubt in the 89th minute, converting from a Jessica Hunt pass to restore the two-goal cushion.

The win gives Sporting JAX valuable points heading into the holiday stretch and reinforces their credentials as a side capable of putting teams away at home.
