Union Omaha came from behind late to secure a 2–1 victory at Corpus Christi FC on Saturday, with goals from Diego Gutiérrez and Sergio Ors enough to see off the hosts despite a spirited fightback.

The visitors took the lead in the 37th minute when Gutiérrez finished off a Ryen Jiba assist to make it 1–0. Corpus Christi's frustration showed almost immediately — Sam Roscoe-Byrne picked up a yellow card just a minute later.

Omaha carried that advantage through halftime and into the second half, though the contest grew increasingly fractious. Both Gutiérrez and teammate Vincenzo Candela were cautioned in the 56th minute as tensions rose.

Corpus Christi looked to have rescued something from the match in the 82nd minute. Dominick Bachstein latched onto a Blake Bowen delivery and leveled the score at 1–1, giving the home crowd a lifeline with less than ten minutes to play.

It lasted all of five minutes. Sergio Ors restored Union Omaha's lead in the 87th minute, converting from a Sami Guediri pass to make it 2–1. The late winner took the sting out of Corpus Christi completely, and the hosts could only manage frustration in stoppage time — Jack Keaney was booked late on as the game slipped away.

The result gives Union Omaha a valuable three points on the road and deals a blow to a Corpus Christi side that will rue the inability to hold onto their equalizer for longer than five minutes in the closing stages of the USL League One contest.
