Brooklyn FC held off a late Tampa Bay Sun FC push to claim a 2–1 victory in USL Super League action on Saturday. Catherine Zimmerman and Antoinette Williams struck in the second half to put the hosts in control, before Carlee Giammona pulled one back for Tampa Bay deep into stoppage time.

The first half produced no goals but plenty of edge. Tampa Bay's Jordyn Listro was booked in the 22nd minute, and teammate Emerson Elgin followed her into the referee's notebook just before the hour mark, picking up a yellow in the 53rd.

Brooklyn broke the deadlock three minutes later. Zimmerman finished from a Leah Scarpelli feed in the 56th minute to give the home side the lead. The advantage doubled in the 72nd minute when Williams converted off a Jessica Garziano assist,
