Erie Commodores FC delivered a commanding 4-0 victory away at Rochester NY FC Academy in NPSL action on Saturday, with R. Takeuchi, W. Perry, and M. Tsuji all finding the net alongside a late fourth goal to complete the rout.

The Commodores wasted no time asserting themselves. Takeuchi opened the scoring in just the sixth minute, giving Erie an early cushion and putting Rochester on the back foot from the outset. The Academy side struggled to mount any meaningful response, and the visitors doubled their advantage in the 35th minute through Perry.

Rochester needed halftime to regroup, but they didn't get that far unscathed. Tsuji made it 3-0 just before the break, striking in the 43rd minute to effectively kill the contest before the teams even headed to the dressing rooms.

The second half was a quieter affair. Erie's K. Sarkodie picked up a yellow card in the 61st minute, while Rochester's A. Silva was booked in the 82nd. Neither side altered the scoreline until the 87th minute, when Erie added a fourth to put the finishing touch on a thoroughly dominant performance.

Rochester never looked like troubling the Erie defense, failing to register a single goal across the 90 minutes. The Academy side had no answer for the Commodores' sharpness in the final third, particularly during a devastating first-half spell that produced three goals in 37 minutes.

The emphatic result strengthens Erie Commodores FC's position in the NPSL standings and raises serious questions about Rochester NY FC Academy's ability to compete at this level as the season progresses.
