Loudoun United FC and Louisville City FC played out a wild 3–3 draw in USL Championship action on Friday night, with Thorleifur Úlfarsson's brace for the hosts matched by second-half goals from both sides that kept the scoreline level. Brandon Dayes, Tola Showunmi, and Evan Davila found the net for Louisville, while Boluwatife Akinyode added Loudoun's third.

Loudoun struck first in the eighth minute when Úlfarsson finished off a Richard Aman feed to put the home side ahead early. Louisville responded emphatically. Dayes equalized in the 20th minute, converting from a Taylor Davila delivery, and Showunmi completed the turnaround just six minutes later to make it 2–1 to the visitors.

Louisville's Babacar Niang picked up a booking in the 44th minute, and Loudoun capitalized almost immediately. Úlfarsson grabbed his second of the night right before halftime, connecting with a James Murphy pass to send the teams into the break level at 2–2.

The second half followed the same pattern.
